Ever since the Corona Virus made it’s first debut in South Africa last year, things have been rough for everyone financially. Everybody is doing everything they can do to save a coin or two where ever possible.

We’ve made a round up of a few service stations that help you save some money in one way or the other. Whether it’s cash back or redeemable points.

You can use the Pick ‘n Pay smart shopper at BP and score points to use at any Pick ‘n Pay in South Africa. The maximum daily value of Smart Shopper points that may be redeemed in respect of the payment for fuel at participating BP Service Stations, points to the value of R3000 per day

You can use your Clicks ClubCard at Engen and score points to use at any Clicks in South Africa. Earn one point for every one litre of petrol or diesel. The more litres you purchase, the more points you earn and the greater your cashback.

If you’re insured with Discovery, you can get up to R1600 worth of fuel if you regularly fill up at Shell or BP. You can redeem your UCount Rewards Points for fuel and oil only with your activated UCount Rewards Card.

If you bank with Standard Bank, their UCount gets you up to R1000 fuel if you fill up at Caltex regularly. As a UCount Rewards for Business member, you can earn up to R5* back in Rewards Points per litre of fuel and oil purchased, based on your Tier Level, when you fill up at your nearest Caltex.

For FNB eBucks users, you can get up to R1500 or 20% of your total monthly qualifying card spend at Engen. Earn up to R150 back in eBucks every month when you swipe your qualifying FNB Aspire (Gold) card at Engen. That’s up to 60c per litre back in eBucks every time you fill up. You can spend with your eBucks card when paying for fuel at Engen or you can choose to Pay in eBucks via the FNB App.

R3000 is what you can get off your fuel from your Absa Rewards cards if you fill up at SASOL. Swipe your Absa card at Sasol and earn cash rewards every time you fill up or make purchases. You will also increase your earning rate just by using your credit card.

You can use the Dischem Rewards card at Total. When you visit a Total Energies Service Station and fill up, you can swipe your Dis-Chem Loyalty card and get Dis-Chem Benefit Points. For every 1 litre of fuel you will receive 10 Dis-Chem Loyalty Benefit Points.

Or simply get the Shell V+ card to use at Shell, it’s a loyalty programme exclusive to Shell. With V+ you earn instant cash-rewards for every litre of fuel purchased and selected shop items in-store. Redeem your cash rewards on the forecourt for fuel or in-store for anything in the Shell Select store.
